CHALLENGE:

An automotive lithium-ion battery supplier was in trouble due to supply chain management constraints and needed an immediate alternative packaging solution to avoid a plant shut down

SOLUTION:

Genesee Packaging’s engineering and sales staff worked closely with the prospective customers packaging engineer and purchasing personnel and developed a cost effective corrugated packaging solution. Genesee then produced tooling, created work stations and assembly lines, and was able to manufacture the first 10,000 units in just 7 days!

RESULTS:

Our customer met every one of their shipping requirements with zero quality issues. Genesee Packaging shipped 100,000 units over the course of three months allowing 200,000 battery cells to be shipped on time and defect free!
